Achievements & Experience
While in the United States, Annemarie worked as a manual therapist treating acute and chronic myofascial pain including low back pain, frozen shoulder, plantar fasciitis, jaw pain and thoracic outlet syndrome. She has pursued training in myofascial release, muscle energy technique, positional release, vacuum therapies amongst many other modalities she uses to effectively treat her clients. She combines these techniques purposefully to create a unique session for every client.
There are many elements involved in returning the musculoskeletal system to a healthy equilibrium. Annemarie realised that the ideal pathway to optimum health needed a combination of manual release using Massage Therapy and exercise. This was the impetus for her undergoing training in Kinesiology with further training in medical exercise, the McGill Method, natural movement methods through Movnat and Gokhale Method.
She works with clients to build a foundation of resilience using personalised targeted exercises that recruit the correct muscle activation synergies to create efficient movement patterns. As a mother herself, she has a passion for working with women in all stages of motherhood and is keenly aware of the challenges that mothers face.
