Nathan Bridgeman is an American trained Physiotherapist having graduated Summa Cum Laude from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1998. From early on, he chose to specialize in the areas of lymphedema management and vestibular rehabilitation. He is a Certified Lymphedema and Vestibular Rehabilitation Physiotherapy Specialist.

Nathan is a certified Lymphedaema Therapist trained by Gunter Klose and also a  Vestibular Rehabilitation Specialist. To further specialize, he completed advanced training at the Foeldiklinik in Germany, currently the world leader in lymphedaema care. He is a member of the (USA) National Lymphedema Network and is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist in the Lymphology Association of North America.

As a Lymphedaema Physiotherapist, he is able to treat the full spectrum of lymphedaema from early onset of the disease process to the more severe cases including lymphedaema secondary to cancer treatment and radiation – particularly post breast cancer treatment. Using the technique of Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT), he is able to effectively treat all regions of the body from the head and neck, lower limbs, upper limbs and torso by prescribing properly fit compression garments. As part of his management protocol, Nathan is also able to prescribe an exercise program that will specifically target swollen areas especially with post breast cancer patients.

Nathan’s specialised skill set is also in musculoskeletal and orthopedic Vestibular rehabilitationwhich involves the treatment of vertigo, dizziness or imbalance arising from: benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV)Meniere’s Disease, ear infections, age related issues or other disease processes that affect the inner ear or brain. He achieves excellent results and has helped many patients often in extreme distress from these debilitating illnesses.

In addition, Nathan is also experienced in treating patients with neurological deficits such as stroke patients, neuromuscular disorders, and head injuries. He is able to provide acute physiotherapy care and rehabilitation with the aim to return to full function.
